Barks and Parks becomes Pooch n Perks

In Summer of 2019, we met with Carly, the owner of Barks and Parks, a dog walking business in Calgary. After careful consideration, we decided to take over Carly’s business, as she was returning to post secondary school. We officially took over in the fall of 2019. At the time, we decided to keep the name of Barks and Parks temporarily for familiarity for Carly’s existing clients. Now we are ready to re-launch the business under Pooch n Perks offering pack walking and overnight boarding.

A new journey of dog walking in Calgary

It has been a great year getting to know our new amazing pack. We already had a strong passion for animals, but this new endeavour has pushed us to learn more. As with anything new, it is important to us to continue learning, so we have been actively seeking out new training and courses to further our knowledge and skills such as pet first aid.

Our Dog Walking Philosophy

As responsible dog owners ourselves, we know the importance of a well exercised dog. Group or “pack” walks can be a great addition to regular leash walks. For instance, they provide an opportunity for dogs to have socialization and interaction with other dogs in a safe environment. Additionally, they are great for both the physical and mental health of dogs. Our pack walking creates happier, more balanced, and well-trained dogs, which in turn makes pet parents happy! We currently offer pack walks in Central Northwest Calgary, visiting various designated off-leash parks.
