In 2015, Nikita started creating homemade dog biscuits and treats for Biggie, who had a chicken allergy. Biggie loved the treats, and we soon wondered if other dogs might enjoy them too. So began a season of attending various pop-up events at boutique shops and markets. Friends, family, and new customers seemed to love the natural treats, but we realized we needed to come up with a unique way we could easily get the treats to the dogs.

In the summer of 2017,  the treat trailer made it’s debut at the Sue Higgins off-leash park in Calgary, AB. The idea of a “Canine and Companion Food Truck” came from visiting the park with our dog Biggie, and wishing there was a place at the park to grab a coffee, or a roll of poop bags if you happened to forget them. The treat trailer became the next step in our doggy business pursuit.

Along with providing free water and treat samples for dogs, the Pooch n Perks treat trailer has a both a dedicated doggy and people menu, and also sells other dog products and accesories such as locally made collars, grooming items, and toys.
